The paint and body work is finally DONE! I picked up the Midas today. It looks awesome. I still have some small things to finish up, mount seats, straighten and paint bumpers, reassmble dash, mount spare tire, install windshield, get top repaired and installed and figure out a few small wiring bugs.

Paint has finally been applied! These pictures do not do it justice. We still need to refurbish the seat bases, skid plates, gauges, etc. The hood and tailgate are getting painted later this week, can't wait to see the whole package.

The body work is 90% complete. A lot of new sheet metal on this previously rusty truck. now it is as straight as an arrow.

I believe this is one of the original Goodyear Tracker A-T tires. My guess is that it was the spare and when they needed to replace a tire they put the spare on. The rest of the tires were all different. I am keeping this for the spare!

This is the engine and frame. I had the engine completly rebuilt. The pistons were frozen in the cylindars.

I bought this 1979 International Scout SSII Midas from Kevin Dexter in Kentucky. This picture is from the day I brought her home, October 5, 2007. I plan on a full and compelte, back to original restoration. The truck is in decent shape, the engine is frozen, typical Scout rust, but almost all the Midas stuff is there. The only things missing are the center counsol, top, doors, and carpet. It does have the original seats, interior side panels, original paint, wheels and most of the snaps are still in the floor for the snap in carpet.
